Managing Successful Projects
Process Improvement Program

Managing Successful Projects is a two- to three-day, highly participative program for managers, teams, work groups, and project leaders. It features a four-phase process that provides a step-by-step framework for project success.

Participants work in teams to build timelines and project plans, but also focus on human dynamics, such as communication, gaining consensus, problem solving, meeting and coordinating and dealing with change.

This workshop is accredited with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and earns participants 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs) towards PM Professional qualification.


The Process Improvement Program is designed to build an understanding of quality management practices and their applications within your business, and allow you to apply quality principles and tools within the context of your own job.

The two- to three-day program includes group discussions & activities about quality, and the importance of meeting customer requirements, case studies and application of selected quality tools to improve a process that impacts your job.

The approach also enables consistent planning and organising skills and is a powerful introduction to the world of Six Sigma and Project Management methods.



Managing Successful Projects II
Insight: A Problem Solving Workshop

An advanced one- to two- day follow-up to the Managing Successful Projects program that continues the use of the project management process presented in that workshop. It focuses on the skills that a project manager needs to bring a project to a successful completion and provides high-level tools that help make this possible.

This workshop is also PMI accredited.

Although our programs are independent of software platforms, InfoWorks is also able to incorporate the use of Microsoft® Project into our project management programs, if required.


Insight: A Problem Solving Workshop is a fast-paced, active, one-day problem-solving workshop. This workshop has been designed to provide individuals at all levels of an organization with a variety of problem solving tools supported by a common model that can be widely used.

Participants work in teams to explore the problem and identify causes, define the problem, explore solutions and decide on a practical resolution. A Project Problem Solving workshop option is also available. This is a great follow-up program to Managing Successful Projects.



Negotiating for Results
Strategic Negotiating

Negotiating for Results is a two-day program that provides the process and techniques for building long-term relationships through effective negotiation. It focuses on developing areas of mutual interest for successful negotiations with internal and external clients. Participants learn to turn tactical negotiations with customers, vendors and people inside the company into strategic negotiations that build relationships.

Strategic Negotiating Strategic Negotiating is a one-day program that provides planning skills and strategies for win-win negotiations. Participants learn how to plan and conduct negotiations that focus on mutual interests.

The program focuses on developing strategic negotiation skills that help build or maintain the relationship. A Project Negotiating program is also available.



Change Management Workshop
Client Focus: Building Effective Consulting Relationships

The change management workshop is a one-day workshop comprising of eight modules – each module is approximately 40 minutes duration. The program uses a four-phase model, built on the topics of Identify the Need for Change, Plan the Change, Implement the Change and Evaluate & Plan for the Future. The workshop is based on participants receiving and reviewing the course materials as pre-work. The workshop then “fleshes out” the process and provides important skills for implementing and managing change.

Client Focus empowers people with the communication and consulting skills they need to work successfully with internal and external clients. This two-day program is organised by the five phases of a consulting relationship, providing a framework for developing and maintaining effective, client-focused relationships. Anyone who provides consultative support or service to internal clients or who works consultatively with external clients will benefit from this program


Branch-Based Marketing
Team Selling to Strategic Accounts

Branch-Based Marketing (Micro-marketing or Local-Area Marketing) is designed to help branch managers and other field personnel integrate knowledge of their customers, trade area, products and company-wide initiatives to develop and implement branch marketing strategies that build sales and strengthen customer relationships.

The off-the-shelf or customizable one-, two- or three-day program is organised by a step-by-step process which enables branch personnel to analyze their customer base and trade area, identify high potential target customers, develop and implement strategic and tactical marketing plans, and track the effectiveness of their ongoing marketing efforts.


This program is an innovative two- to three-day simulation that fosters close-knit teamwork among sales personnel in selling to strategic accounts. Throughout the program, participants work together closely in a simulated, competitive selling situation.

Participants learn how to differentiate themselves from the competition by adding value & showing how solutions can impact key client business issues, increase their hit rate on proposals accepted, develop deeper relationships with customers and cross-sell more products and services.

This program is often customized to specific needs including Key Account Management, Relationship Management & Trusted Advisor programs.



Presenting & Public Speaking Skills
Leading & Motivating the Sales Team

Today, executives, managers and staff are frequently required to deliver presentations within their organizations or in public. Delivering a successful presentation is a key contributor to organization and personal success.

Presenting & Public Speaking Skills – enhances and builds high leverage competencies to give professional presentations to both internal and external clients. This customizable program looks at the key skills and latest techniques for successful presentations. Participants are provided with tools that can be used on the job.


Sales leadership and coaching skills are essential sales force management tools. This 1- or 2-day workshop utilises successful sales skills as well as management, leadership and coaching skills to provide stable, motivational coaching and leadership for anyone leading or managing a sales team.

Practical tools, examples and exercises make this an experiential workshop, which can be customized to incorporate specific tools, reports or systems needed in the day-to-day management of a sales team.



Leading Effective Meetings
Time Management and Being Organized

A proven program for increasing productivity and saving both time and money, Leading Effective Meetings is a half-day workshop that helps participants to be able to:
  • Identify effective and ineffective meeting practices
  • Determine when to hold or not hold a meeting
  • How to build and agenda
  • Improve meeting facilitation and participation skills
  • Manage time in meetings
  • Build successful meeting outcomes
  • Determine follow-up actions arising from meetings

Dynamics of Leadership

Four specialized programs including:

These programs have come about through the identification of key skills required to perform the specialist function of assessing applicants for loan purposes. The courses cover a comprehensive range of topics associated with the appropriate level of lending.

They are applicable to all financial services employees especially lending, credit and relationship managers, personal bankers, loan analysts, call center operatives and loan support staff.

The program may also be relevant for non-financial executives who with to learn more about credit and lending. The programs are case driven and can include pre- and post-testing for participants.


The Dynamics of Leadership program is a curriculum for managers. The 15 modules are designed and sequenced to address three major competency areas: Leading with Vision, Building the Business and Working with People.

Topics include the leadership role, team building & employee motivation, leading & managing change, communication & successful work styles.The final module, the Managers Checklist, builds an action plan for change following the program.
